I planted myself inside you and waited to bloom ;
took all my feelings, my wants, my needs, my dreams and I buried them inside you.
I’ve given you my entire life :
Have my eyes as windows to the soul
Lips to brush our conversation
Gently stroke my blonde hair with your fingers and caress them till I fall asleep
Unwind after a stressful day, lay your head on my bosom.
Pull me close, rub my arms and
Wrap your arms around me and let your every muscle melt.
The way the soul is to body
bone is to flesh and blood
the heart is to the heartbeat
The way you are to me.
Because I am yours, you are mine and only mine.
Poet’s Note :
The speaker here is a wife who is telling his husband that she has given her entire life to him
since the day they got hitched and she expects the same. By romanticizing her body parts,
she wants to say that she has given her everything to him. She also urges him indirectly to
cling to her always, without seeking any other lady in the near future.
