When a poet passes away, he takes along his memories of works,
When a poet drifts away, he leaves behind carcasses of his love,
When a poet dies, his soul is relieved but his poems relive,
When a poet leaves this world, he leaves his essence to us.
A lyricist, poet, an artist, and professor, he was immaculate,
Meticulous was his written poetries that he preached at places,
Books printed to mark his name in the history of versatility,
He booked a spot in the hearts of people with this personality.
'Bulati hai magar jaane ka nahi' gained immense popularity,
From social media to livelihood of many, it became a reality,
His peaceful tone and nature stood out in the crowd,
Today after he has left this world, we still do applaud.
Some works get appreciation after the person goes away,
Some instances become soulful memories that forever stay,
Some feelings are buried deep beneath that are difficult to control,
But the time will pass once again with his reminiscences we'll hold.
He died but his blessings are always with us till he resides,
He's gone but we still have his beautiful past left behind,
Dr. Rahat Indori passed away too soon for all of us,
But his words of wisdom will still twinkle in the stars above.
