Kanha, Kanhaiya, Krishna, Muralidhar, Born as eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu, He is a supreme soul in himself, Lord of compassion and love he resides, He was born in Mathura pristine, When the dawn bloomed bright in the sky, And peacocks danced in the rainy smiles, Krishna was born in the prison of nights, Was carried afar by his father with pride, He was an infant in love with butter, An adolescent with flute that itself was flattered, Radha was his friend cum lover, To Arjuna he was the supreme soul ever, He revolves in Mahabharata and Bhagvad Gita, Krishna was born as a dark complexioned baby, Gopala or Jagannathpuri deity thrives, Born to Devaki and Vasudeva in disguise, Kansa was defeated in the hands of Krishna, Lifted Govardhan parvat with his little finger, At Yamuna he dived with Balarama, Warrior in disguise, Krishna saved lives, He was a shadow to evil and bad omens, Strength in his words, eyes shone bright, An incarnation of Lord Vishnu he stood, In Mahabharata field, he battled for rights, Meera and Radha adored his mysteries, His flute was soothing symphony to many, Maakhan he played with Maa Yashoda, Balarama was his brother and treasure, He was a generous deity for his devotees, Arjuna on battlefield witnesses the reality, Krishna was born with cosmos in cavity, We sings praises for the Lord Krishna, Maakhan Chor for many, he is Kishna. Krishna Janmashtmi we celebrate with happiness.
