We all are aware of the fact that the Global Corona Virus Pandemic has taken over the world and millions of people have been succumbed to it. Not only here in India but also overseas people are suffering and losing jobs. The government of India is helpless at the moment in providing employment to the youth of our country. The total population of India is about 135.26 crores and the virus has infected nearly about 4.5 lacs of the population at present, standing as the third most highest country infected by the Virus. People have been asked to quarantine themselves, in order to avoid community transmission. Work from home and Social- Distancing have become the new normal. Masks, sanitizers and gloves have gained recognition due to this pandemic and it’s being sold everywhere now. We can compare this year 2020 to the 1930s. It can be clearly compared to the Great Depression during 1930s.
The Great Depression was a worldwide economic depression that took place mostly during the 1930s, beginning in the United States. In most countries it lasted till 1931. It was the longest, deepest, and most widespread depression of the 20th century. We can take the example of The Great Depression as it intensely affected the global economy in a vast scale. It also gave rise to the World War ll. Already there is a rise of civil wars in different countries, people have been terminated from their jobs, food is scarce. In these times it won’t be surprriseg if this year gave rise to the World War lll. I am afraid that this year 2020 might shape the year 2021 negatively, as seen by the present condition of jobs and stock market crashing down. There is still 4 months left for this year to end, and the virus vaccines are still on trials globally. 202l would be more devastating than 2020 if actions are not properly taken.
The Education System has vastly been affected. Exams have been cancelled and online classes are being conducted. Teachers’ and Professors’ are doing an excellent job to educate them on their part. The government as well as the people of our country should abide by the rules and regulations, and don’t take things casually, if not it is going to be much worse than it looks. We obviously don’t want jobless humans dying for no reason and we don’t want an apocalyptic world. We the people of India should stand by each other in these dire times of need and unite as one to fight this enemy and make 2021 a better year with much more brighter prospects.
