How will we pay debts to those?
Who stayed away from their families,
To alleviate our woes;
Constantly working amidst their agonies.
Out came the virus tumbling,
An unprecedented appearance;
The world started stumbling,
And we realized evanescence.
The crisis none less than a war,
Brought to light our state’s heroes;
Bringing doctors and soldiers at par,
Under whose care and support we rose.
Police, doctors, paramedics, nurses,
Stayed true in conditions adverse;
Not forgetting the essential providers,
And crucial sanitation workers.
Media persons giving us news so speedy,
Hardworking home-made mask makers;
Organizations providing food to the needy
Let us salute these worthy care-takers.
When religious places are closed,
God is out there in Covid-warriors themselves;
They determine the prominence of states unopposed,
And are true pride of the nation itself.
Their undeniable altruism,
The beautiful souls to have faith in;
Their hearts full of nationalism,
Looking after us through thick and thin.
They know the cost of fulfilling dreams,
These Corona warriors of each state;
They stay awake when moonlight gleams,
Glorious freedom from Covid they await.
