1. Clock hands hardly mattered- The class at 10 a.m. has your gracious presence not earlier than 10.30 ….that too after making sure we actually have nothing to do in general than head to college in slippers (sometimes even possibly the night suit!!)
2.Food Had Then Became a Nightmare- Nothing made you bleed more than the dinner bell at 8:00 p.m. because good food was like the 8th day of the week (non-existent) :( You realize the value of lauki, parval, bhindi nenuwa…infact any damn thing cooked by mom!! which seems to be way better than the food you have to gulp for survival!!
3.MAGGI…….becomes life- No one can understand the love for these curls to fill the stomach better than you….Your serious relationship with maggi can make your life partner end up having complexes!!! You have a serious commitment with this packet of life savior!!!
4. You are BUSY as heck- Because all you got to do for the day is download movies, and more movies, and some more….Watch. Repeat. Download again!!! Movies might fail to reach multiplexes, but not your laptop. and then, there is THE ONE who always is the source to enlightenment…
5. Dormitory -is the new joint family structure- You speak to a person who's never been to the hostel about dormitory… and he will be like "how on earth do you manage ?" to which only you have the answer… because there resides 1 Hitler, 1 beautician, 1 lecturer, 1 chai addict, 1 nani ki nusko wali, 1 chatterbox, 1 sleepyhead… and many more characters to entertain forever!!
6. Basically NOTHING is yours- "Jo tera hai wo mera hai…jo mera hai wo tera" only now you relate to this song. From your expensive stilettos to even the smallest bobby pin…which once was your asset now is seen nowhere….and like any other " lost and found" case you would see it randomly at anyone's closet or only visible when your roommate flaunts it to another unknown!
7.And when you come back from home- More than homecoming….coming back from home is valued! All the laddoos, gujiyas, batashe, and everything that your mom packed saying "khud khana, bat te firna" is vanished even before you enter your room.
8.You come out a 'diva' each day. everyday.- without even paying a penny for the new fashion trend! Mix and match from every closet is the secret.
9. Washroom stories- you can no longer sit for hours whats'app-ing because there are 10 more in line who would not mind breaking the door like any surgical strike attack…..and if you are one among in the line, you don't take your part for granted. Never. Never, ever.
10. Home is Home- family that once had all luxuries kept handy for you, now just stares the mobile screen and have sleepless nights…and you are usually 'Strong' but have your own low days… The happy fact is : You will never be completely at home again because part of your heart always will be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place!
