Life always takes some unpredictable turns and this 'coronavirus outbreak' is most of the worst turn occurred all over the world. This outbreak forced the government to declare a complete lockdown in all countries across the globe. But every experience gives us some valuable lessons to follow and cherish in the future.
According to me, every alphabet of the word “LOCKDOWN” teaches us a new lesson for life.
L stands for ‘Living’. When the lockdown was declared every student, worker, people living in far cities desire only one thing, that is their family. At that stage be it poor, middle, or rich people, everyone wanted food, family, and shelter to rely on. That point of time, we valued our family, their health, their support, and most importantly their love. Safety and savings are also one of the important lessons we learned for our living.
O stands for ‘Online methods’. Be it, students, teachers, or employees in offices neither anyone expected this situation nor anyone was ready for it. But somehow we all managed and faced this situation together. We all learned to operate online tools for communication and as a whole, everyone took this as a challenge to continue smoothly working on education and work as much as possible.
C stands for ‘Capability’. This situation taught us that every person, be it a kid, student, employees, parents, or a senior citizen, we all developed capabilities within us. We never thought how much we can be a helping hand to others. This pandemic made us realize our opportunities, strengths, weakness, and our determination. The capability of science achieved heights.
K stands for ‘Knowledge’. The lockdown made us realise that knowledge is not only restricted to schools and college books. There are various online materials available for our study. India launched its virtual internships programs, virtual online courses, and certification, virtual campusing drive for students and job seekers. Many people took their professions like teaching and business to online platforms.
D stands for ‘Doctors’.The actual pillars of hope and are playing a crucial role in this pandemic. They are treating people irrespective of their fear of life. Be it, nurses, ward boys everyone is trying hard to save the life of affected people. On the other hand, scientists have been working hard to discover the vaccine. Their sheer dedication has increased their respect in my hearts for them.
O stands for ‘Ourselves’. This lockdown gave every person their ‘me-time’. We all got some relief from the normal hectic schedule and discovered ourselves more. Everyone explored their hobbies and talents they had within them like singing, dancing, drawing, crafting, gardening, etc. Many have just ignored their hobbies for work but this lockdown helped in reviving those memories.
W stands for ‘We’. The pandemic has caused equal losses to everyone irrespective of religion, caste, creed, gender, age. People of every type have been hit hard and only we as a team can come up and help the needy by fundraising and providing extra meals and shelter. Only ‘we’ as a human being can help each other and which has been proved in this lockdown.
N stands for ‘Nature’. We as a human being discovered how much we were harming nature knowingly or unknowing. In just three months of lockdown, we saw nature healing itself automatically. Clean water in the Ganga river, less air and noise pollution, animals in peace. This lockdown was a warning of how humans are deteriorating the environment for their profit.
These were my lessons for life which I will remember in the future as well. Valuing and caring for our family, friends, our health is most important because life is unpredictable. We don’t need luxury life for a living, simple living is enough, and savings for the future in another great lesson we all learned.

Every alphabet clearly explains everything and motivates us to transmute our pain into joy. To be strong and happy.

Message is to motivate others to be strong. “There’s always a silver lining to the black clouds” and so we should also not lose hope and wait for the silver lining.
