They say," A women can be a women's best friend or the worst enemy."
Usually the later is more convenient to generalize or stereotype. And why not, face the fact : this is what we let the world perceive about this gender in the society because the very women competes with another one to scale up herself in beauty( mostly external), sensuality, physicality, brains( I'm not mentioning knowledge for a specific reason) etc...and the list is long enough.
Thought credits: MNC washroom doors!!!
Women: Blahhh, Blahh, Blah!!!!
As Indira Nooyi (Pepsico CEO), once said,
"Women don't help women enough and that is sad."
Many times we are in a presentation, the guy is not going well. We call a break. They gop to the men's washroom. "Hey, Bill that was awful. Your presentation, fix it man! Don't gesture so much." They come back and Bill's doing fine.
Women does a terrible job and you walk into the women's room and you go..."Mary, that was terrible. What were you doing?" and whispers God, she is so bitchy!
No, I'm trying to give you constructive feedback :/ (Concern)
But the same feedback comes to us from men we're willing to accept it.(Reality check)
Emma Watson(Actor, Activist,Model) Harry Potter series' most influential female characters
"How can we affect change in the world when only half of it is invited or feel welcomed to participate in the conversation."
Its not often that any Bollywood movie touches me and instigates the questioning mind of mine to introspect the scene or dialogue. But a recent watch did! (Reference: A Bollywood Movie- Pati Patni Aur Woh, 2019)
Tapasya Singh(Ananya Pandey) : "Main bas ye nahi samajh pa rahi ki someone who I have met as an unhappy man, why is he choosing to stay unhappy when his happiness is standing right in front of him?"
It is easy to succeed these days because most people are whining over the struggles of life. I think we need to change our whole approach to supporting each other. (Women) Even though we know that we are not doing well because we go, "good she is struggling, I can take that position"
why not, " Lets figure out how we can add more to each other!"
As Zozibini Tunzi (Miss Universe, 2019) states,
"I think that the most important thing we should be teaching young girls today is 'Leadership' its something that has been lacking in young girls and women for long..."(Refer to her speech on winning the title for more)
The other day me and my roommates had a rough conversation, and later at the evening this cute bunny(a junior roommate) comes up to say me ,"Di have we ever told you how much we love you?"
I said "No." and stared at her confused!?
and she says "because we do"
That small gesture would have gone so unnoticed, but it didn't because it kept me smiling for two days and it still does as I'm writing this piece!
