Higher the TRP, the more money the channel makes.
Reign of Post Truth Era: Without the proper truth investigation the aim of breaking news on the channels drastically shifted from evidence, researches, and study to who rather brings the news on the table at the earliest to break the news, making it more argumentative in nature and emotionally driven content over actual facts. The idea of ‘gatekeeping’ or ‘filtration’ was by and large shoved out of the window and entering into the 24×7 news cycle became the foremost ground of broadcasting news.
