He planted a seed
In the dark brown earth
He took time to inhale the fresh green air.
He's quietly hoping for the best of shares.
His palms are warm
But his mind is numb.
He isn't sure of what's to come.
But the thought of rain made him smile.
The little seed sputtering into a shine
The whole field coming alive with green
Then the balanced scale.
Then there's more to eat.
Then the hopes and dreams accomplished
Welding power of things we've always wished to see
We're all just like the farmer.
Sowing seeds with our planners
We're all just farming.
Learning to avoid yearning
We wake up in the morning and take in deep breaths.
Then we set out to harvest green in the crests.
Now it's raining
We have the gift of something worth more than money.
