Primordial power, Adi Shakti, is the bravest warriors who are worshipped,
Assumed forms to safeguard the land of storms,
The creator, observer, and destroyer of the universe is Her,
She's our Mother, the most powerful soul who rules.
A Mother, Sister, Wife, and our Protector, She's an epitome of grace,
The great Goddess with varied forms, She has incarnations,
Maa Durga, in her nine forms, is exemplary of valor,
Nine nights with her presence sparkles the ripples of her avatars.
Maa Shailputri on her bull, with lotus, is adorned with Trishul,
Maa Brahmacharini is the pinnacle of reality and renunciation,
Maa Chandraghanta is as fierce as red bloom flooding in her veins,
Maa Kushmanda cradles our world in her lap with sheer solace.
Calm and serene, Maa Skandmata is beautified with lotus,
Maa Katyayani blesses us with peaceful life away from darkness,
Maa Kaalratri is the destroyer of evil and bestows our protection,
Maa Mahagauri as a deity is the symbol of perseverance.
Maa Siddhidhatri is the provider of knowledge and devotion,
Together the nine nights of Maa Durga embrace us with noble virtues.
She's draped in saree and crowned as an entity of strength,
Carrying armaments as her powerful stroke, she's accompanied with courage,
Her eyes screech with peace and she's the Goddess of Goddesses,
She's the power, she's our Mother, she's Maa Durga, our sheer strength.
